Our Story
Gooseberry Hill Homestead sits on a quiet stretch of road outside Mt Ayr, where the kind of community you used to find everywhere has been hard to come by. We started here because we believed this corner of Iowa still deserved a place that felt like home — not a chain, not a convenience store, but something with intention.
Every item on our shelves is something we'd put in our own pantry. Every interaction is with a neighbor, not a transaction. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, and it's the reason people drive from three counties over.
